Choose Your AWA5920 Configuration
| Configuration | Best For | Main Capability |
|---|---|---|
| Option 1 – Single Kit | Standard personal and occupational noise exposure surveys | TWA/Dose • Leq/Peak • Statistical Ln • Logging • Recording |
| Option 2 – Single Kit + Octave Analysis | Detailed individual exposure and frequency investigation | Standard functions + 1/1 & 1/3 Octave |
| Option 3 – 5-Pack | Monitoring multiple workers during the same survey | Five-dosimeter professional monitoring package |
| Option 4 – 5-Pack + Class 2 Calibrator | Multi-worker surveys with field calibration capability | Five-dosimeter package + Class 2 acoustic calibrator |
| Option 5 – 5-Pack + Octave Analysis + Calibrator | Advanced multi-worker occupational noise surveys | Five dosimeters + 1/1 & 1/3 Octave + Class 2 calibrator |
These five configurations correspond directly to the packages in Aihua's current 2026 price list. All include Leq/Peak, Ln statistics, TWA/Dose, logging, storage and recording; octave analysis is included in Options 2 and 5, while a sound calibrator is included in Options 4 and 5.
Option 1 – Single Kit
The standard choice for individual workplace noise exposure measurement.
The worker wears the compact AWA5920 throughout the measurement period while the instrument continuously records and calculates occupational noise exposure.
Measurements include:
- TWA
- LEX,8h
- LAVG
- Noise Dose
- Personal sound exposure
- Leq
- Peak levels
- Statistical Ln values
- Data logging
- Audio recording
Ideal for routine occupational hygiene and workplace noise surveys.
Option 2 – Single Kit + Octave Analysis
Adds real-time 1/1 and 1/3 octave frequency analysis to the standard dosimeter functions.
This is useful where it is not enough to establish how much noise a worker is exposed to — you also need to determine which frequencies are responsible for that exposure.
Ideal for:
- Engineering noise control
- Hearing-protection investigations
- Machinery noise
- Noise-source identification
- Detailed occupational hygiene surveys
Option 3 – 5-Pack
Designed for surveys where multiple employees or work positions need to be monitored simultaneously.
A five-dosimeter system allows exposure measurements to be collected from multiple workers during the same shift, making it particularly useful for larger occupational hygiene programmes.
Option 4 – 5-Pack + Class 2 Calibrator
Adds a Class 2 acoustic calibrator to the multi-instrument system, allowing the dosimeters to be field checked before and after measurements.
The supplier's five-pack calibrator kit includes five AWA5920 dosimeters, one sound calibrator and a five-unit charging dock with power supply.
Option 5 – 5-Pack + Octave Analysis + Calibrator
The most comprehensive AWA5920 package.
It combines:
- Five wearable dosimeters
- Leq / Peak and statistical analysis
- TWA / Dose measurement
- Data logging
- Audio recording
- 1/1 octave analysis
- 1/3 octave analysis
- Class 2 sound calibrator
Ideal for professional occupational hygiene teams carrying out advanced multi-worker exposure surveys.
Occupational Noise Measurement
The AWA5920 measures the key parameters required for personal noise exposure assessment.
| Parameter | Measurement |
| TWA | Time-weighted average sound pressure level |
| LEX,8h | 8-hour equivalent sound pressure level |
| LAVG | Average sound pressure level |
| DOSE | Noise dose percentage |
| E | Personal sound exposure |
| SEL | Sound Exposure Level |
| Leq,T | Equivalent continuous sound level |
| Lpeak | Peak sound pressure level |
| Ln | Statistical percentile noise levels |
Exchange rate can be selected from 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, with selectable threshold levels from 40–90 dB and criterion levels from 70–90 dB.
Octave Analysis
Optional Class 2 frequency analysis provides both:
1/1 Octave
Nine bands from:
31.5 Hz to 8 kHz
1/3 Octave
Detailed frequency analysis from:
20 Hz to 12.5 kHz
Both modes provide real-time Lp, Lmax, Lmin and Leq,T measurements with simultaneous A, C and Z weighted analysis.
Data Logging & Audio Recording
The AWA5920 includes 64 GB storage and can save measurement results for later PC analysis.
Audio recording is stored in WAV format with selectable recording quality up to 48 kHz / 32 bit, allowing recorded noise events to be reviewed after the survey.
Measurement data can be transferred directly to a computer using the USB Type-C interface.
