Product Description:

The quality of future lumber is largely determined by the quality of the log, with stress wave velocity being a reliable predictor. The Resonance Log Grader measures this velocity to assess log quality, as it significantly affects the dynamic modulus of elasticity (MOE), calculated as the product of density and stress-wave velocity squared.

This simple tool consists of a hammer and an Android phone or tablet equipped with specialized software. The user enters the length of the log, strikes the end, and the device displays the accurate velocity on the screen, assigning a grade based on the results.
